A Small Family Breeder in Missouri
K Bar K Puppies is a small, family-run breeding program located in the Missouri Ozarks. Both my husband and I were raised on farms, surrounded by animals and the responsibilities that come with caring for them every day.
Our dogs are raised as part of our daily life — not separate from it. Puppies grow up with routine handling, human interaction, and individualized attention from the very beginning. We believe this hands-on approach helps create confident, adaptable companions that transition smoothly into family homes.

How Adoption Works
Bringing home a puppy is an exciting decision, and we want the process to feel clear, comfortable, and stress-free. Below is an overview of how adoption works at K Bar K Puppies, from your first inquiry to bringing your new Australian Shepherd puppy, Mini Dachshund puppy, Shihpoo or Toy Poodle puppy home.
Matching You With the Right Puppy
Because each puppy has a unique personality, we help guide families toward a puppy that best fits their home, activity level, and expectations whenever possible.
Reservation & Preparation
When the right puppy is selected, a reservation is placed to hold your puppy until pickup or delivery. During this time, puppies continue to receive daily care, early socialization, and routine veterinary attention.
We’ll also provide guidance on what to expect, what to prepare, and how to make the transition home as smooth as possible.
Bringing Your Puppy Home
Puppies go home at the appropriate age, ready to begin life with their new families. We offer pickup options and may be able to assist with delivery arrangements depending on location.
Our support doesn’t end at pickup. We’re always happy to answer questions and provide guidance as your puppy settles into their new home.
How to Reserve a Puppy
1. Choose your puppy from our Australian Shepherd puppies, Mini Dachshund puppies, Shihpoo puppies or Toy Poodles puppies pages.
2. Contact Us with any questions you may have about adopting one of our puppies.
3. Submit your non-refundable Puppy Reservation Deposit using the secure payment link below the puppy of your choosing.
This deposit reserves your puppy and is applied toward the final purchase price.
Before submitting your deposit, please go to our Policies page and read and/or download our puppy contract.
4. Final payment must be received before pickup or transportation arrangements are finalized.
5. After full payment is received, we will finalize local pickup or approved transportation arrangements. (Transportation fees are confirmed in advance and are paid separately from the puppy purchase price.)
